5 New Android Apps and Games to Download in February 2026 — Tomb Raider, Warframe make the cut

Warsaw, Feb 3, 2026, 10:40 (CET)

  • Android Authority highlighted five Android apps and games to try in February 2026, with the picks skewing toward games.
  • Feral Interactive has set a Feb. 12 launch for Tomb Raider on iOS and Android, with pre-registration open.
  • Digital Extremes has said Warframe will launch globally on Android on Feb. 18 after a Canadian rollout.

Android Authority published its February 2026 picks for the best new Android apps and games, putting upcoming releases Tomb Raider and Warframe alongside a new keyboard and two smaller games. The list also includes Urik Keyboard, SILT and RGB. (Android Authority)

The roundup lands as February releases start stacking up and many users look beyond store rankings to find what’s new. Big names matter here because they can drag attention — and downloads — toward or away from smaller developers.

The mix is uneven, too, which is the point. It is a month of a privacy-leaning utility app sitting next to ports of older, well-known games, with very different price tags and expectations.

Urik’s listing on Google Play says it offers swipe and tap input, on-device spell checking “with no network requests,” and an encrypted local database, while also claiming no telemetry and no network permissions. The listing identifies Alexander Hocken as the developer and shows the app was updated on Jan. 25. (Google Play)

Android Authority described Urik as a lightweight newcomer compared with mainstream keyboards such as Gboard and SwiftKey. It said the app is still in beta — a test version — and not yet ready to replace a primary keyboard for many users.

Feral Interactive announced in December that Tomb Raider will launch on iOS and Android on Feb. 12, with pre-orders and pre-registration already open. (Feral Interactive)

The game’s Google Play page calls it a “premium” title, meaning users pay upfront, and lists a $19.99 price in the United States, with regional pricing shown in pounds and euros. The listing says the Android version includes 12 DLC packs and supports touchscreen controls, mouse and keyboard, and gamepads, while warning that a final supported-chipset list will come closer to release. (Google Play)

Digital Extremes has also pointed to February as a key date, setting Warframe’s Android launch for Feb. 18 and pitching it as part of a broader platform push. “We are one step closer to making Warframe playable on every current-gen platform,” said Megan Everett, citing cross-play and cross-save — features that let players team up across devices and carry progress between them. (Digital Extremes)

On Google Play, Snapbreak describes SILT as a surreal underwater puzzle-adventure and offers it as “free to try,” with the full game unlocked through in-app purchases — payments made inside the app. The listing also carries an epilepsy warning for players sensitive to flashing lights. (Google Play)

RGB, another Android Authority pick, asks players to match a target color by adjusting red, green and blue sliders against the clock. Its Google Play description lists difficulty options topping out at 15,625,000 possible color combinations. (Google Play)

But the February window still has a few ways to go sideways. Digital Extremes has said Warframe’s rollout starts with a Feb. 11 soft launch in Canada and requires 64-bit Android, Android OS 12 or higher and at least 4GB of RAM — limits that can thin out the pool of compatible phones, even before server load and controls on touchscreens get tested at scale. (Warframe)

For Android Authority, the February list reads like a bet that familiar franchises can still move people to try something new on mobile. The next signal

will come fast: user reviews, performance complaints, and whether any of these titles stay on phones once the novelty fades.
