TCL rolled out the K70 Power 4G in Thailand, targeting users who prioritize battery life. The phone is already up for grabs on Lazada, Gizguide reported Wednesday. They listed the 4GB/256GB model at 13,090 baht, while the 8GB/256GB variant goes for 14,090 baht.
The rollout is notable because TCL continues to focus on LTE-only (4G) devices in 2026, banking on long battery life and rugged features to attract buyers despite the growing 5G presence. According to Thai tech site TechXcite, TCL plans to release a standard K70 model with the same Helio G100 Turbo chip and 120Hz display, but it will have a smaller 5,200mAh battery and offer a 4GB/128GB memory configuration.
Component prices continue to challenge budget smartphones. Counterpoint’s Senior Analyst Shivani Parashar noted that “premiumization remains a clear trend,” predicting that by 2026 nearly a third of smartphones will cost over $500. At the same time, Senior Analyst Soumen Mandal expects the smartphone SoC market to deliver “double-digit revenue growth” this year, even as unit shipments dip. EE Times Asia
Droidsans reports the K70 Power features a 6.8-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. The phone packs a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 0.08-megapixel macro shooter, and an 8-megapixel front camera. Under the hood, there’s a “Helio G100 Turbo” chipset combined with TCL’s NXTURBO performance software. MediaTek positions the Helio G100 as a 6-nanometer 4G system-on-chip, integrating compute, graphics, and connectivity into a single package aimed at reducing power consumption and enabling higher-refresh-rate displays. The chip features an octa-core CPU with two Arm Cortex-A76 cores alongside an Arm Mali-G57-class GPU.

Still, the launch comes with clear restrictions. Russian tech outlet DGL noted that the standard K70 wasn’t available in open retail at the time of their report. Both the K70 and K70 Power focus on long battery life but stick to 4G connectivity.
TCL is entering a packed segment dominated by Xiaomi, Oppo, and Transsion-owned brands, all vying with aggressive specs and flashy deals. Launching a 4G-only device at mid-range prices means it needs more than just a large battery to make an impact.
So far, the company hasn’t announced any wider release plans. Yugatech noted it’s uncertain if the model will be available outside Thailand, including in the Philippines.
