Costco’s New Fertility Care Deal Offers Members Up to 80% Off IVF Drugs

NEW YORK, March 10, 2026, 12:21 (EDT)

  • Costco teamed up with Sesame and IVI RMA North America on a fertility care program for members. 1
  • The partners said Costco pharmacy programs can cut some fertility drug costs by up to 80%. 1
  • Online fertility support for Costco members starts at $99 a month and is available nationwide. 2

Costco Wholesale said on Monday it had teamed up with Sesame, a healthcare platform where patients pay directly rather than through insurance, and fertility clinic network IVI RMA North America to offer members coordinated fertility care and discounts of up to 80% on some fertility drugs. 1

The launch adds another service to Costco’s annual membership. It comes days after the company reported second-quarter net sales rose 9.1% to $68.24 billion and membership-fee revenue climbed to $1.355 billion. 3

Fertility care can be costly and hard to reach quickly. Costco members can sign up for online fertility support starting at $99 a month, and the company said savings on drugs such as Follistim could cut thousands of dollars from a treatment cycle. 2

Under the arrangement, patients begin with Sesame for intake, tests and care coordination, then move to IVI RMA clinics for specialty care such as IVF, or in vitro fertilization, if needed. Patients keep their Sesame clinician through treatment, the partners said. 1

Richard Stephens, Costco’s senior vice president of pharmacy, said the tie-up was aimed at “transparent and affordable solutions” and at removing barriers that have kept fertility treatment out of reach for many families. 1

David Goldhill, Sesame’s chief executive, said the service lets patients seek reproductive care “without barriers, stigma, or waiting.” Lynn Mason, chief executive of IVI RMA North America, said the partnership would expand access to care, and the companies said the program is available nationwide. 1

Costco has been widening its health offerings with Sesame for more than two years. The retailer began offering members discounted virtual primary care, therapy and checkups through Sesame in 2023, and Reuters reported in 2024 that the tie-up expanded into weight-loss programs that could include Ozempic and Wegovy. 4

The added health perks come as Costco’s paid membership base keeps growing. Retail Dive reported on Monday that the company ended the latest quarter with 82.1 million paid members, up 4.8% from a year earlier, while Costco said digitally enabled sales rose 22.6% in the quarter. 5

But the new offer will not remove the biggest cost hurdle. Specialty treatment through IVI RMA is discounted rather than included, and IVF can still cost up to $30,000 a cycle for some self-pay patients, while in-person care beyond the initial workup is tied to IVI RMA’s network. 1

For Costco, the rollout adds another healthcare service to its membership offering. The company operates 924 warehouses worldwide. 3
