Century Aluminum Shares Move Before Holiday as CENX Draws Attention on Aluminum Moves
Century Aluminum closed at $65.05 Friday, up 7.6% for the day and 14.5% for the week, as aluminum traded near $3,650 a tonne. U.S. markets are closed Monday for Memorial Day. Peers Alcoa and Kaiser Aluminum also gained. Century reported first-quarter net income of $337.5 million and expects higher second-quarter earnings on strong prices and expanded output.
