Silver price slides more than 6% as dollar rallies on Iran strikes; US jobs report ahead

Spot silver dropped 6.6% to $87.64 an ounce by 11:11 a.m. ET Monday after weekend strikes against Iran sent oil and the dollar sharply higher. Brent crude rose 8.07% to $78.74, while the U.S. dollar index jumped over 1%. Gold was steady near $5,284. The ISM manufacturing PMI prices-paid index hit 70.5, its highest since 2022, stoking inflation concerns.
