Social Security May 2026 Payment Dates: Calendar Quirk Puts Millions on a Later Check Schedule
Social Security’s regular May payments will be issued May 13, May 20, and May 27, later than usual due to the 2026 calendar. SSI and some dual-benefit recipients are scheduled for May 1. No benefit cuts or missed payments have been announced. The gap between April and May payments will reach up to 35 days for some beneficiaries.
