Harmonic Rallies 20%, Eyes Turn to Tuesday
Harmonic Inc. jumped 19.7% Friday, finishing at $15.20 after a big surge late in the week. The broadband-equipment maker moved on 12.8 million shares traded. Shares had closed at $12.70 Thursday and touched $15.26 Friday. Markets were preparing to pause for a long weekend. Nasdaq shut for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, so the next open is Tuesday. That’s the first shot to see if the rally keeps up after a thin holiday break. Usual Nasdaq hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday, unless it’s a holiday.
