Rio Tinto plc Restarts Pilbara Ports After Cyclone Narelle, Holds 2026 Iron Ore Guidance

Rio Tinto resumed ship loading at three of four Pilbara iron ore terminals after Cyclone Narelle, with Cape Lambert A still under repair. The company kept its 2026 shipment guidance unchanged at 323–338 million tonnes despite an estimated 8 million-tonne cyclone impact. London shares rose 3.5%, lifting the FTSE 100. Why Woodside Energy Stock Price Is Back in Focus as Cyclone Narelle Deepens LNG Crunch

Woodside Energy said Sunday that Tropical Cyclone Narelle continues to disrupt output at its Karratha gas plant, a key North West Shelf LNG hub. Chevron’s Wheatstone facility also remains partly offline after storm damage, deepening a global LNG supply crunch following Qatar’s shutdown. Woodside shares rose 0.26% in Sydney Friday. Port of Dampier reopened, but cargo imports are still suspended due to damage.
