DeepMind puts AlphaGenome code on GitHub as new AI model reads a million DNA letters at once

Google DeepMind released the AlphaGenome API code as open source on Wednesday, but access to the model still requires an API key. Nearly 3,000 scientists have used AlphaGenome, generating about 1 million API calls daily. The model analyzes up to 1 million DNA bases at once and predicts multiple gene-regulation signals, according to a Nature paper.
