His wall poster of the Return to Flight shuttle era anchors a career built at Marshall Space Flight Center on engines and solid rocket boosters. Reynolds led the development and testing of motor cases, seals, igniters and separation motors, then became deputy manager overseeing the SLS boosters and evolving composite boosters for Artemis missions. With Artemis II approaching, he speaks of safeguarding astronauts and delivering a historic lunar crew. The eight-year-old in him remains, watching launches from his driveway as the team moves toward the Moon.
