Coupang stock pops premarket as South Korea watchdog seen ruling out shutdown risk
Coupang shares rose 3.6% in U.S. premarket trading after a report said South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission does not see grounds to suspend the company’s business following a major data breach. The regulator told lawmakers a shutdown would require proof of misuse and direct consumer harm. Coupang will report fourth-quarter results on Feb. 26. Police and other agencies continue to investigate the breach and its fallout.
