Shell stock slips as investors weigh venture-portfolio review, gas outage and buyback pace
Shell’s U.S.-listed shares closed down 1.3% at $81.18 on Thursday. The company is reviewing parts of its Shell Ventures portfolio for possible sales and has curtailed output at Norway’s Ormen Lange gas field since Feb. 16, with repairs ongoing. Shell also continued its share buyback, repurchasing over 1.2 million shares on Feb. 26.
