A security researcher found an unsecured database with about 149 million username and password pairs, including 48 million linked to Gmail and 17 million to Facebook. The database, traced to infostealer malware, was removed after the researcher alerted the hosting provider. Samples included emails, passwords, and login URLs for major consumer and financial services. The exposure lasted nearly a month.
