Google’s Android Auto 15.2 update in late September–October 2025 broke the Quick Controls widget on vehicles with vertical screens, leaving media and navigation shortcuts inaccessible. The feature still works on horizontal displays. Drivers flooded forums with complaints, calling the bug “irritating” and “useless.” Google says a fix is in development but has not given a timeline.

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update to Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, marking the last major OS upgrade for these 2022 models. The update launched in Europe and will expand globally in the coming days. Samsung will continue security updates for at least another year.
