Galaxy S26 leaks show Samsung’s 25W magnetic Qi2 charger and new KindSuit cases

  • Leaked photos show a Samsung-branded 25W magnetic wireless charging puck linked to the unannounced Galaxy S26 lineup
  • Images of alleged Galaxy S26 Ultra “KindSuit” cases show a visible magnetic ring for Qi2 accessories
  • Qi2 is the industry wireless-charging standard that adds magnets for alignment; the newer Qi2 25W tier lifts the power ceiling

Photos posted online show what appears to be Samsung’s own 25-watt magnetic wireless charging puck for its next Galaxy S flagship, adding to a growing trail of accessories tied to the unannounced Galaxy S26 series. (Droid Life)

That matters because Qi2 — the Wireless Power Consortium’s updated Qi wireless charging standard — adds magnetic attachment to line phones up with chargers, cutting misalignment and wasted energy. The consortium says its Qi2 25W tier builds on that magnetic “lock” while delivering nearly 70% more charging power than the original Qi2. (Wireless Power Consortium)

When it rolled out Qi2 25W in 2025, the consortium said the standard would bring “major Android smartphones” into the ecosystem alongside Apple iPhone devices, as companies try to move beyond proprietary fast-charging systems. “Qi2 25W’s remarkably fast and efficient wireless charging will … accelerate the adoption of the new standard,” WPC executive director Paul Struhsaker said.

Samsung-focused outlet SamMobile published images of a Samsung “Magnetic Wireless Charger” carrying model number EP-P2900BBEGWW, with a USB-C connection and a cable that appears to be nylon braided. The site said Samsung recommends pairing it with a 45W USB Power Delivery adapter — a common wired fast-charging standard — and that full 25W output is likely limited to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, with other models potentially capped lower. (SamMobile)

Separate images collected by SammyGuru showed what it said were Galaxy S26 Ultra “KindSuit” cases, with a leather-like finish and a large circular ring on the back consistent with magnetic charging accessories. The site said listings suggested colors including orange, navy blue, black, white and brown, while cautioning the products were not from official Samsung channels and could be unfinished or replicas. (SammyGuru)

SamMobile also pointed to third-party case renders shared by tipster Evan Blass that show magnets in cases for the Galaxy S26 range, alongside a redesigned rear camera area in the images. The outlet said Samsung is expected to unveil the phones in late February and begin sales in early March in some markets, though the company has not confirmed timing. (SamMobile)

The leaks land as phone makers have leaned on “Qi2 Ready” workarounds — supporting Qi2 charging while leaving the magnets in a compatible case rather than inside the handset. Testing firm Granite River Labs has described that approach as a way to avoid adding thickness and weight while still meeting magnetic-alignment requirements through accessories. (Graniteriverlabs)

Qi2’s magnetic profile was designed to work like Apple’s MagSafe, which uses magnets to snap chargers and add-ons onto iPhones and has helped build a large accessory market around mounts, wallets and battery packs. The Wireless Power Consortium has said it developed the Qi2 magnetic profile in partnership with Apple. (9to5Mac)

At the launch of the Qi2 standard in 2023, Struhsaker pitched the benefit in blunt terms: “Qi2’s perfect alignment improves energy efficiency by reducing the energy loss that can happen when the phone and the charger are not aligned.” (Wireless Power Consortium)

But the charging puck and cases have not been announced by Samsung, and wireless charging performance often depends on heat management, phone design and the power supply used. Even when a charger carries a higher rating, phones may only hit peak speeds for short periods before throttling.

For now, the clearest signal from the latest leak cycle is not a handset spec sheet but an ecosystem push: magnets, a first-party puck, and cases built around a ring — the pieces you need if you want MagSafe-style add-ons to work cleanly on Android.

  • Starlink reportedly offers free service in Iran amid internet blackout
January 29, 2026, 5:08 AM EST. Starlink is reportedly offering free service in Iran after the government cut internet access, a move that has allowed images and videos of protests to reach outside audiences. The company does not officially operate in Iran, and thousands of Starlink terminals have been smuggled in since 2022, when the US allowed sanctioned tech tools to be sold to Iranians. Bloomberg cited a person familiar with Starlink services; US President Trump said he hoped Starlink would restore access. Iran Human Rights' Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam said Starlink has been crucial for sharing information, including death toll estimates. Iran has a history of internet shutdowns, with 17 since 2018, varying in scope. Experts say this blackout this month is more extensive due to geographic spread and restrictions on international phone access.
