Apple released the iOS 26.4 release candidate to testers on March 18, signaling an imminent public launch. The update adds Playlist Playground, Concerts, offline music ID, and support for AirPods Max 2, which opens for orders March 25. Video podcasts will become available in Apple Podcasts. Apple says the update also improves on-device AI model performance for developers.

A January 2024 study reported an aluminum–sulfur battery retaining 85.4% capacity after 1,400 cycles at 85°C. In 2015, Stanford’s aluminum-ion prototype recharged in one minute and lasted over 7,500 cycles.

SpaceX Starlink’s “Direct to Cell” service now lets standard 4G LTE phones send text messages via satellite in supported areas, requiring no extra hardware. Competitors AST SpaceMobile and Lynk Global are also testing satellite-to-phone connections.
