Northern Star Resources shares fell 9.5% to A$18.96 on Thursday, extending losses after last week’s production warning. Shares are now 29% below their March 11 close. The company cut its 2026 gold output forecast to over 1.5 million ounces, down from 1.6–1.7 million. Gold spot prices dropped 4.3% to US$4,612.21 per ounce.
