KU Leuven's Sayon Duttagupta and colleagues show an attacker in Bluetooth range could hijack a device after obtaining its model number and a few seconds of access, turning on the microphone to listen or inject audio and even track location. Google says the issue traces to an improper Fast Pair implementation by some hardware partners, not a flaw in the core protocol, and notes no evidence of real-world exploitation. The company has updated Find Hub and issued fixes to OEMs; users are urged to install the latest firmware and review device compatibility. Some risks persist for devices never linked to a Google account.
