  • Nike Unveils Project Amplify: Robotic-Powered Footwear for Everyday Running
October 24, 2025, 7:12 PM EDT. Nike reveals Project Amplify, a robotic-powered footwear system designed to augment natural lower-leg movement. Developed with robotics partner Dephy, the goal is to make slower walking, jogging and running easier and more fun, positioning it for athletes with mile paces around 10-12 minutes rather than competitive sprinters. The product is still in testing, with a broad consumer launch planned in the coming years. Earlier this year Nike released the Hyperboots, a warmer/cool-down shoe with heating and air-compression massage technology, priced at $900.
