Users spent 48 billion hours in generative AI apps in 2025, 3.6x 2024 and 10x 2023; session volume topped 1 trillion. OpenAI and DeepSeek together accounted for nearly 50% of global AI app downloads, up from 21% in 2024, while big tech publishers approached 30%.
