In the latest Android Canary builds, Android Authority reports the same system files that enable AirDrop on Pixel 10 have appeared on Pixel 9 devices-specifically Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL and 9 Pro Fold. The Pixel 9a and older Pixels remain excluded for now. The files surfaced in Canary build ZP11.251212.007, but the AirDrop function is not active yet on Pixel 9. The finding suggests Google is moving toward broader AirDrop support, though a timing window remains uncertain.
