  • SpaceX to launch Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral with Starlink satellites
January 8, 2026, 11:10 PM EST. SpaceX is set to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station's Space Launch Complex 40, sending another batch of Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit. The launch window was scheduled for Thursday at 1:29 p.m. local time. The first-stage booster marks its 29th flight in missions that include CRS-24, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13F, OneWeb 1, SES-18, SES-19 and about two dozen Starlink flights. After liftoff, the booster will target a landing on the drone ship Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic. Channel 9 Eyewitness News will provide updates. The mission underscores SpaceX's push to expand the Starlink constellation and reuse boosters across missions.
