Sony will require adult PlayStation users in the UK and Ireland to verify their age from June 2026 to keep using messaging, voice chat, parties, and sharing features. Players who do not complete verification can still play games but lose access to communications tools. Verification options include mobile number, face scan, or ID, with Yoti as provider. The change follows new online safety laws in both countries.
