MSCI World ETF (URTH) Rally Just Ran Into Hot CPI, a Fed Handoff and an MSCI Rebalance
The iShares MSCI World ETF fell 0.4% Tuesday after U.S. consumer prices rose 0.6% in April, with energy costs up 17.9% from a year earlier, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Investors awaited MSCI’s index review due later in the day. The fund traded near $200, in line with the S&P 500 ETF but outperforming the MSCI ACWI ETF, which dropped 0.8%.
