Capitol Federal Stock Nears a 52-Week High as Traders Watch Margins, Buybacks
Capitol Federal Financial shares rose to $7.80 in premarket trading Thursday after closing at $7.77, near a 52-week high. The Topeka-based bank reported fiscal Q2 net income of $20.1 million and a net interest margin of 2.24%. Commercial loans increased $39.1 million to $2.32 billion. The company repurchased 3.08 million shares and declared an 8.5-cent dividend.
