Crypto ATM scams drain millions in Wyoming — and Virginia, Kentucky are moving to clamp down

Wyoming lawmakers are considering new regulations for crypto kiosks after police reported over $3 million lost to scams in Gillette last year. Cheyenne and Sheridan also saw combined losses of more than $2 million. A bill in the Wyoming House would require licensing, cap fees, and set waiting periods for transactions. Virginia and Kentucky legislatures are advancing similar measures.
