A new sidebar lets users chat with Gemini across open tabs and keep conversations flowing. In Chrome, users can access Nano Banana, Google's in-house image generator, without leaving the browser or uploading files. The feature also enables editing existing images directly in the sidebar. Google plans to bring Personal Intelligence to Chrome later this year to remember past conversations and tailor the browsing experience. The rollout leverages Connected Apps, pulling data from Gmail and Calendar; demonstrations showed Gemini retrieving dates from an inbox. Google also previewed an auto browse capability that can draft a plan before shopping for items from a user's history.
