MicroVision Stock Drops as Lidar Turnaround Faces Its Next Cash Test
MicroVision shares fell 2.6% to $0.6232 Thursday, underperforming the Russell 2000 ETF, which rose 0.7%. The lidar maker reported a first-quarter net loss of $25.3 million on $0.9 million revenue, with $46.1 million in cash as of March 31. MicroVision expects to need more capital within a year and warned of possible shareholder dilution.
