Jack Purcell Meats, an 83-year-old Brisbane butcher, has entered liquidation after closing its last store. The company once operated 23 outlets but had scaled back to a single shop and wholesale business. Alan Walker of Asset Restructuring Group was appointed liquidator on April 30. The closure follows a winding-up application over alleged unpaid debt; the amount was not disclosed.
