Telstra may lose about 1 million square kilometers from its advertised mobile coverage if ACMA adopts stricter mapping standards by March 31. Optus and TPG back the tougher -115 dBm signal threshold, while Telstra wants it lowered. Telstra says over 1.5 million customers use coverage below this limit each month, including 57,000 emergency calls a year.
