The 8-core, 16-thread desktop chip uses Zen 5 3D V-Cache and comes with 104MB of total cache and a 120W TDP. AMD positions the part as the mid-point between the Ryzen 7 9800X3D at about $469 and the Ryzen 9 9900X3D at about $569, aligning with typical $500 budgets. The company touts a 400MHz boost-clock uplift and markets it as the world's fastest gaming processor relative to the 9800X3D. Early benchmarks suggest the Zen 5 3D V-Cache CPUs continue to outpace Intel's Core Ultra 9 285K Arrow Lake in some games. Linux compatibility with 104MB cache is noted; TDP remains 120W.
