  • Bosch's Track Performance Assist uses AI to coach drivers and trim lap times
January 19, 2026, 1:04 AM EST. Bosch is advancing Track Performance Assist (TPA), an AI-powered coaching tool that taps its safety systems, sensors, navigation, cloud computing and applied mathematics. The aim: help drivers reach the fastest possible lap. The system builds an ideal trajectory-the absolute racing line-by analysing track data, vehicle specifics and billions of simulated lines, then displays how far a driver strays from that line. It also creates a maximum velocity profile to benchmark current telemetry against a best-in-class lap for the same car. In real time, TPA can adjust brake and throttle to keep you on pace. Bosch calls this its most compelling USP. A prototype was shown to journalists, offering a glimpse of how AI-driven coaching could reshape track performance.
