Tesla’s EU carbon-credit pool thins out for 2026 as Toyota and Stellantis hold back

Stellantis, Toyota, and Subaru are absent from Tesla’s carbon-credit pool for 2026, according to an EU filing, after joining the group last year. The European Commission now allows automakers to average fleet emissions over 2025-2027, easing compliance. Tesla could face reduced demand for its regulatory credits as a result. Stellantis and Toyota said they may still join later.

Electric car sales finally beat petrol in the EU — here’s what changed in December

Battery-electric cars made up 22.6% of new EU registrations in December, surpassing petrol vehicles for the first time, ACEA data showed. Hybrids remained dominant, accounting for about two-thirds of electrified registrations. Total EU car registrations rose 1.8% in 2025 to 10.8 million, still below pre-pandemic levels. Battery-electric share for the year reached 17.4%, up from 13.6% in 2024.

Fritz-Kola Says “No Price Hike” as Regenerative Sugar Beet Pilot Cuts CO2 — FritzBox Maker Faces Fibre Shift

fritz-kola said it will not raise prices as it shifts some sugar sourcing to regenerative farming, after a pilot project cut emissions by 1,534 tonnes of CO2 and yielded 1,449 tonnes of sugar. CEO Mirco Wolf Wiegert said climate measures are already included in pricing, despite higher costs for growers. The company partnered with start-up Klim and six German farms for the project.
