Leaked marketing images reveal Samsung Electronics is working on a magnetic Qi2 power bank designed to attach magnetically to the back of its yet-to-be-released Galaxy S26 phones. This hints the upcoming flagship models might come with built-in magnets. According to Android Authority, the accessory — named EB-U2500 “Magnetic Wireless Charging Powerbank” — surfaced shortly after it was spotted in a Wireless Power Consortium database last month. (Android Authority)

This matters because Qi2 aims to simplify wireless charging. The Wireless Power Consortium highlights that Qi2 supports faster 15W charging on certified devices and incorporates magnetic attachment tech to help phones and chargers snap into place for “easier usability.” (Wireless Power Consortium)

Until now, Samsung has relied on add-on cases to align magnets with Qi2 accessories on its Galaxy phones. But a leak from Android Headlines about the EB-U2500 suggests the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra will build magnets directly into the devices. This move would let Qi2 accessories snap on without extra cases, edging Samsung closer to Apple’s MagSafe approach. (Android Headlines)

PhoneArena, referencing Germany’s WinFuture, reports that the EB-U2500 packs a 5,000mAh battery and could offer up to 15W wireless charging, with wired charging maxing out at 20W. The power bank’s recharge speed is said to reach 25W. In Germany, it’s expected to cost 59.90 euros. (PhoneArena)

Leaks have revealed a possible color lineup for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Tipster Evan Blass shared six shades: black, white, Sky Blue, Silver Shadow, Cobalt Violet, and Pink Gold. Android Authority pointed out that Samsung’s current S25 Ultra comes in seven colors, with three exclusive to Samsung’s own site. (Android Authority)

Ice Universe, another leaker, posted images showing what appear to be S26 Ultra SIM card trays in silver, black, light blue, and purple, 9to5Google reported. These shots hint that Samsung might stick with a physical SIM slot on the Ultra model, at least for select markets.

Android Headlines reported that the leak refers to the colors as “Sky Blue” and “Cobalt Violet” instead of just blue and purple. The Ultra model is also rumored to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip. (Android Headlines)

Samsung hasn’t confirmed the accessory, its colors, or release date yet, and leaks like this often appear close to launch. Even if the power bank is genuine, pricing and availability usually differ across regions. Plus, Samsung might restrict magnetic Qi2 support to select models.

When the Wireless Power Consortium launched Qi2, they revealed the Magnetic Power Profile was “based on MagSafe technology contributed by Apple.” According to WPC executive director Paul Struhsaker, Qi2’s magnetic attachment eliminates the need for consumers to “fuss” over aligning their phone and charger.

Magnets might be tiny hardware for Samsung, but they have the power to draw customers deeper into its accessories ecosystem—especially if the upcoming Galaxy launch happens as leakers predict.
