Galaxy S26 leaks show Samsung’s 25W magnetic Qi2 charger and new KindSuit cases

  • Leaked images reveal a Samsung-branded 25W magnetic wireless charging puck tied to the yet-to-be-announced Galaxy S26 series
  • Leaked images of the Galaxy S26 Ultra “KindSuit” cases reveal a clear magnetic ring designed for Qi2 accessories
  • Qi2 is the wireless-charging standard that integrates magnets for better alignment; its latest 25W tier pushes the power limit higher

Photos leaked online reveal what looks like Samsung’s 25-watt magnetic wireless charging puck designed for the upcoming Galaxy S flagship. This adds another piece to the puzzle of accessories linked to the yet-to-be-announced Galaxy S26 series. 1

This is important because Qi2 — the Wireless Power Consortium’s latest Qi wireless charging standard — introduces magnetic attachment to snap phones onto chargers, reducing misalignment and energy loss. According to the consortium, the Qi2 25W tier enhances that magnetic “lock” and packs nearly 70% more charging power than the original Qi2. 2

With the launch of Qi2 25W in 2025, the consortium aimed to bring “major Android smartphones” into the fold alongside Apple iPhones, pushing past proprietary fast-charging tech. “Qi2 25W’s remarkably fast and efficient wireless charging will … accelerate the adoption of the new standard,” said WPC executive director Paul Struhsaker.

SamMobile, a site known for Samsung news, shared images of a new “Magnetic Wireless Charger” from the company, model number EP-P2900BBEGWW. The charger plugs in via USB-C and features what looks like a nylon braided cable. According to the report, Samsung advises using a 45W USB Power Delivery adapter with it—a widely used fast-charging standard. The full 25W wireless output probably applies only to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, while other Galaxy models might see lower wattage caps. 3

Images shared by SammyGuru revealed what appeared to be Galaxy S26 Ultra “KindSuit” cases, featuring a leather-like texture and a prominent circular ring on the back—likely for magnetic charging accessories. According to the site, listings hinted at color options like orange, navy blue, black, white, and brown. However, SammyGuru warned these aren’t official Samsung products and might be unfinished or knockoffs. 4

SamMobile highlighted third-party case renders from tipster Evan Blass revealing magnets built into cases for the Galaxy S26 series, along with a revamped rear camera design. The site reports Samsung plans to unveil the phones in late February and start sales in select markets come early March, although the company hasn’t officially confirmed those dates. 5

The leaks come as phone manufacturers rely on “Qi2 Ready” solutions—supporting Qi2 charging but keeping the magnets in compatible cases instead of inside the phones themselves. Testing company Granite River Labs calls this a method to meet magnetic-alignment specs without increasing device thickness or weight, by shifting the magnets to accessories. 6

Qi2’s magnetic profile is built to function like Apple’s MagSafe, using magnets to attach chargers and accessories to iPhones. This system has fueled a booming market for mounts, wallets, and battery packs. The Wireless Power Consortium confirmed it created the Qi2 magnetic profile in collaboration with Apple. 7

When the Qi2 standard debuted in 2023, Struhsaker didn’t mince words: “Qi2’s perfect alignment boosts energy efficiency by cutting down energy loss caused when the phone and charger aren’t lined up.” 8

Samsung has yet to announce the charging puck and cases, and wireless charging speeds often hinge on heat management, phone design, and the power source. Even if a charger supports higher wattage, phones typically reach peak speeds only briefly before throttling kicks in.

The biggest takeaway from the recent leaks isn’t a new phone spec sheet but a broader ecosystem move: magnets, an official puck, and cases designed with a ring — all the essentials to get MagSafe-style accessories running smoothly on Android.
