Sony Group (TYO:6758) makes the LYTIA 700C sensor in the 50-megapixel main camera. The Pro picks up optical stabilisation and an 8-megapixel ultrawide, staying ahead of the base model.

The phone comes in at 7.39mm thick and 189 grams. It’s rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, better than the base model’s IP64.

A ₹3,000 cashback at launch cuts the effective price to ₹46,999. Tecno is also giving buyers up to 18 months of no-cost instalments, starting from ₹2,777 per month.

Risks: Sales haven’t begun yet, and there’s no independent battery or gaming test data out. Tecno hasn’t said which India memory variant carries the ₹49,999 base price.

The Pro’s main changes are its better screen, more camera options, and added water resistance. For battery life, shoppers might stick with the less expensive Pova 8, which packs a bigger cell.
