Natural gas price slips after EIA storage report as EQT, Range and Antero stocks climb
U.S. natural gas futures slipped 0.5% to $3.016/mmBtu after the latest storage data showed inventories at 2,070 Bcf, down 144 Bcf on the week and below year-ago and five-year averages. EQT shares rose 1.9% after beating Q4 profit estimates and raising 2026 hedges to 25%. LNG exports hit a record 5,000 Bcf in January–November 2025, surpassing residential use. The next EIA storage report is due February 26.
