  • Nothing removes Lock Glimpse from Phone 3a and 3a Pro; Lite to get uninstall option later
    January 9, 2026, 10:40 PM EST. Nothing says Lock Glimpse will be removed from the Phone 3a and 3a Pro after user pressure, with the December update. The feature, which showed ads on lock screens, was optional but reportedly drained the battery even when disabled. The change does not affect the 3a Lite, which remains on Lock Glimpse for now, with a future update expected to offer an uninstall option. Alongside the Lock Glimpse removal, Nothing notes new controls in the latest update to disable Meta App Installer, Meta App Manager, or Meta Service. After a reboot, those apps are removed from the system partition. The update also adds an app recommendation feature that can be turned off via the App Services system app. Nothing OS 4.0 began rolling out in November with Android 16.
