@thunderwolf - unfortunately as for this moment there is no way to unlock your modem. There aer some tools for doing it, you still need a password created on the basis of you modem's IMEI. As for now there is no way to create the password though. You have to wait, maybe soon someone would do something about it.

@Szadzik: tnx for the answer....but what about multinet? does anybody tried it? i tried it but it disconnects me as soon i try to connect to the net... back to the hyperterminal, could you write all the steps necessary in english? because i tried but he ask me for a number to call or as i try all the com port still doesn't work command "at" etc...

So you have problems with connecting to the internet? What kind of network have you got and in what country? Do you know all the needed configuration?

You have to tell me first what you want to do. Do you want to unlock the simlock? Do you want to connect to the internet? Do you want to install your modem?
I will try to help you as soon as you explain what you need to do.

hi, tnx for your time. Well i have a A1 VODAFONE connect card, of course simlocked with the A1 operator (Österreich). With the original software doesn't allow me to connect; with multinet connect, try to authenticate and then disconnect: internet config seems to be right (right apn and operator).

I tried to downgrade the firmware but simlock still there

I don't understand the sequence you described in polish under the section UNLOCK SIMLOCK...maybe it will help me?

OK, maybe you have a bad user name and password given. Have you inserted the AT command in modem's advanced settings? What kind of mistake does the modem give when it fails to authenticate?

1. Download software in this link.

2. Use the software tounlock the card.

OR

1. Take out the SIM card.
2. Open the Hyperterminal window.
3. Giv any name to the connection and choose any icon.
4. Choose the port your modem uses.
5. Do not change anything in the connection settings.
6. Write: AT+CLCK=”PN”,2 and press ENTER.
7. You'll get +CLCK:0 if the card is not sim locked or +CLCK:1 if it is.
8. Write: AT+CLCK=”PN”,0,”password” where password is the password you can probably get from the operator who sold the modem.

One tiny comment to Szadzik`s translation :
The "password" is your NCQU number from provider.
This is algorithm IMEI number with operator code - here is problem.
Nobody has made this calculator,like for nokia`s phones.

well all right, but the main problem is that I DON'T HAVE ANY CODE, the card is locked and i want to unlock WITHOUT asking the operator (or i will pay for it!)

What about unlocking by means of the software? Does it require the code?
It's not my fault you haven't got the code. I just translated what was written in the post.

By the way - why don't you ask the operator for the code? Have you already asked how much it would cost? Maybe they'll give it to you for free.

multinet is a free software and requires NO code. But seems doesn't work with that locked card

i don't think that they give me the code for free :p

by the way should i ask my operator or the original A1 operator?

Szadzik have right and ask your A1 operator or Vodafone provider.
About multinet software,this`s connection aplication only like lot of another software, thats all. You need no any software for connect.You need password only for unlocking.

You are perfectly right @canidy. In every country and even operator rules are different. Of course @thunderwolf should contact the operator he got the modem from and check what the rules are.

The AT command must be enter each time, so with the utility you just need to enter the code once.

You don`t need any utylity.Just make it with AT command once ,forever.
That`s all.This very simple, trust me ,only once.
