Android’s New ‘Contact Exchange’ Leak: Google Tests NameDrop‑Style NFC Contact Sharing (Nov. 16, 2025)
Google is developing a contact-sharing feature for Android, similar to Apple’s NameDrop, called “Contact Exchange” or “Gesture Exchange,” found hidden in recent Google Play Services builds. The tool uses NFC to let users share selected contact details by bringing phones together. No release date or official name has been announced. Early screenshots show users can choose which info to share or just receive another person’s contact card.
