Walmart Signs First North American Union Deal in Canada
Warehouse workers at Walmart’s Mississauga facility ratified North America’s first union contract with the retailer, Unifor said Friday. The two-year deal includes up to C$5 hourly raises, a 3% increase in year two, and lump sums up to C$8,750. Unifor also secured a first contract for 256 CommerceLink Logistics workers in Alberta. Walmart did not respond to requests for comment.
