National Grid and Dutch operator TenneT signed a Joint Development Agreement for the LionLink interconnector as BritNed marked 15 years in operation. BritNed has delivered nearly 93 TWh since 2011 and saved UK consumers £1.65 billion over the past three years. LionLink could supply up to 2.5 million homes in the 2030s. UK and France recently halted another planned interconnector over unmet conditions.
