Mortgage rates today fall to fresh multiweek low after cool CPI; Rocket, UWM stocks jump
U.S. 30-year fixed mortgage rates fell to 6.04%, the lowest in several weeks, after a softer inflation report sent Treasury yields down. Shares of Rocket Companies and UWM Holdings rose over 5% in response. Freddie Mac’s weekly survey showed rates at 6.09%. Existing home sales dropped 8.4% in January, while the median price climbed to $396,800.
