Netflix’s Big Mobile App Redesign Adds Vertical Video Feed and AI Recommendations
Netflix will launch a redesigned mobile app by late April, adding a vertical video feed and expanding generative AI use in recommendations and creator tools. The update comes as Netflix pushes into advertising, live events, and video podcasts. First-quarter revenue rose 16% to $12.25 billion, but shares dropped over 10% Friday after a weaker outlook and news that co-founder Reed Hastings will leave the board in June.
